i repierced my lip. got an ok from my new boss and since the only pic of me on the band's myspace was me with a lip right, and since i miss having a lip ring, i went and got it. this time, it's on my right side. i decided on the right side because my last one was on the left side and i think i have a half-dented smile because of it (or maybe it was from the bells palsy).

i knew that my favorite piercer from house of freaks is long gone (a girl name angie, i think), and i had to meet up with justin anyway, so we found a place near his apt. we went to Ye Olde Tattoo Parlor. it had good reviews on citysearch and it was close, and we were hurried in time (we had to get to dave and busters before 10, because they charge cover then).

we got there around 8:10pm on a saturday. it was pretty packed. there were 3-4 stations that were behind the counter, but you could see the tatto-ists while they worked. anyway, the guy ryan who pierced me was very good. i'm a big fan of the "take a deep breath, the needle will go in when you exhale" method. he fitted me with a hoop that was smaller than what i'm used to for just-pierced, but it looked better.

for some reason, my lip the most swollen it's ever been after a piercing. it dosen't look bad or anything, but when i smile, it still hurts and it still looks crooked cuz the ring is in the way. and it's just more swollen than it used to be, esp for 3 days after the piercing.

i don't supposed it has to do with the fact that the night of the piercing, i had 4 vodka tonics at DnB, then on monday, i had another 4 vodka tonics at the rooney show, and that i smoke a lot when i drink. oh, and my addiction to burgers mean that i'll force feed myself a slab of meat-n-bread even though my lip is hurting.

i'm not bum anymore. i started my new job this week. i feel inadequate though, because i suck at paperwork and i'm always so confused when i start at a new place.

i have new pics in the gallery. it's from late last month. i'm just lazy. oh yeah, i updated the method of picture display, is a little bit more elegant now.

if not, maybe you should consider dropping by The Derby in Hollywood-ish area. my band will be playing there around 9:30 or so. it's my first show (i've only been with them for a month or so), i hope i don't fuck up.

i went out for a burger + beer at Hinano for lunch. actually it was a cheeseburger and a pear cider. my total came out to 8.50. i was about to pay with CC, but then they said cash only, so i gave him a $20. but i THOUGHT i gave him a $10. so i left the entire amount of change in tip.

man, that $10 coulda bought me another meal.
