i've been keeping super busy with 2 classes (super concentrated because they're only 6 weeks!) this session and working twice a week and of course i gotta go out! i've actually been pretty good! i've been going to class almost all the time, but the bad thing is i can't pay attention in class. at least the books are pretty interesting this quarter even though they're both economics. i think i'm really getting a hang of econ. i'm actually STARTING TO LIKE IT!! i actually PASSED both my midterms! some people say Cs are bad, but i think Cs are just dandy because i PASS and that means i can GRADUATE EARLY!!!!
i went to raging waters with dick and it was sooo crowded. we only went on like 3 big rides, but it was still fun because i've been on all of those and i just liked chillin with him and enjoying the sun and the water. but i tried to put on contacts for that and within the first 2 hours i got a minor eye infection again, so i took them out and they're fine again. the lines were like an hour long each for like a 30 second ride. afterwards we left and stuffed our face with todai.
speaking of todai... i've been eating a LOT lately. luckily i didn't get as thick as i thought i would (like i was half a year ago), but i've been eating eating at least 2 big meals a day and sometimes 3 big meals. and by big meals i mean like fast-food-fattening-clog-up-your-arteries BIG. but in my efforts to eat at least a little healthier, i discovered that cottage cheese and the fruit nutrigrain bars taste quite good together! the bars itself are too sweet for me, and the cheese itself just tastes too bland, together they make a GREAT combination! try it sometimes!
Jenni Cheung at 10:53 AMok, enough of you did it... thank you! i'll be sending the pics to the people who finished within a day!
Jenni Cheung at 07:38 PMi watched this with dick last nite (he's the guy i'm dating at ucla now)i think this was better than the first one. i wish i had arms like that. that'd be hot, kinda. or wings. i'd like wings. i felt all sad when peter was losing his spiderman powers because he couldn't save the people he wanted to save. if i were him i'd just stay peter parker or use my powers to gain personal wealth without harming people.
anyway, kirsten dunst is prettier in this one than the last one also. i don't think she's all that pretty overall, but better than the last one. there's something about her acting that's kinda weird. or maybe it's just spiderman, all the conversation is too fake and just not quite believable. but that's ok, since this is a comic book. i like the ending though, i love happy endings, but i feel bad about peter's friend turning bad, but we all saw that coming.
you have to see this in the theater because the special effects are cool. i dug the movie posters for this movie.
i had to sit through the beginning of the credits because they were playing "vindicated" by dashboard confessional. i love them so much.
Jenni Cheung at 06:10 PMwent up north to see my mother over the weekend and i finally got to trade cars with my mom. now i have air conditioning and powersteering! my mom's gonna take my car to get fixed. but her car didn't have a cd player, so i think i might go buy a headunit or a cd player with a car kit. i wanna get the latter, but charlie says that i really should get a headunit since i have 2 mp3 players already.
kelwin's mom passed last week. R.I.P. kelwin i hope you feel better soon...
economics is so dull. i need to read the books soon. i need an econ study buddy. how come no one i hang out with studies?! i can't believe i'm taking 4 upper division classes this summer.
Jenni Cheung at 06:09 PMi watched this with my mother and charlie. this movie is less cheery than the other harry potter movies but it was just as good. harry and hermione are growing up pretty well, but ron is as annoying as ever. it's always good to read the book first and then see how well the movie matches the book. dumbeldore was a different since the last guy passed away, so that felt kinda different. although i thoroughly enjoyed this movie, i'm scared about the future movies because they have to recast everyone since they're all too old. if they recast it will suck. honestly. after three movies, we all grew to love all these people, but by the time they do the 7th movie, the harry now will be like 23 or something. come one rowlings, get these books out!
i didn't remember the whole story for prisoner of azkaban. so i still liked the twist as much as when i read it in the book the first time.
i never finished the order of the phoenix. i can't seem to find my book... i need to finish that and reread the 4th book too...
Jenni Cheung at 06:09 PMi was quite impressed with this party. it was pretty packed and there were some decent guys! as usual, i was the only person dancing for awhile, but then once everyone got more drunk and started dancing, there was no more room for me to dance! so i just ended up sitting on a couch talking to random people and bumming smokes all night. it was pretty interesting actually. i had to blog about this because on several occasion, i mentioned that i was an econ major at UCLA and the person i was talking to said "i LOVE economics." i started cracking up. i can't believe they said that which is probably just to impress me. but maybe it's possible... because i've said "i LOVE science" before...
Jenni Cheung at 06:08 PMit was interesting going to that by myself. i know i know, it's a very loserish thing to do, but hoping that find a boy at the rock show (reference: the rock show by blink 182). i didn't find one, but boy, where there plenty of eye candy for both sexes! i listened to various little bands because of my really bad experience at the front of the new found glory set. i got their early and was like 3 rows of people behind the front of the stage. once their set start, total hell broke lose. i swear i almost got killed in the chaos! i was wearing glasses and holding a bag and i dropped the bag and almost didnt' get it back. i just took off my glasses and held it because it was impossible to keep them on. i struggled to get out of the crowd, all while the crowd was stepping on me and trampling me. it was horrible. from now on i will enjoy my music from afar, or be wearing contact and the right clothing.
it was pretty cool watching all the other performances from the not-so-established bands. some of them are really good! there was also this hip hop booth and that was fun. i dunno... i just had so much fun walking around and looking at stuff. this was the first time i saw like a mic battle (it was at thetruth.com's booth) and skateboarders doing those really tall ramps in real life! there were so many CDs for cheap, so i bought some, including "the get up kids", "thrice" and "dashboard confessional" unplugged and a lot of complilation cds.
i was hoping to catch this guy that i was seeing there playing, but i guess his band played there on thursday, and i was there friday. he's a singer/guitar for "sky park drive". oh well. it's difficult trying to hit on a guy... imma just bring a cute rock boy next time.
random pictures soon

this movie is really stupid. it's stupid funny. so it had some parts where i actually laughed out loud, but it was pretty stupid overall. but this was the kind of stupid humor that i find funny. christina applegate looks good in this movie, her hair is nice. will ferrell is... kinda obnoxious, but then his character is supposed to be. the story is based in the 70s or something and revolves around the life of ron burgundy. he's the anchorman at the lead newstation. christina applegate eventually joins the team because they were told they needed more diversity. due to a diversion, christina stands in for will ferrel (ron) and has a great response, so she becomes co-anchor with will. the conflicts begins here because it's unacceptable to have a woman succeed like that in that time.
i'm not sure if this is movie theater worthy, but then it's a good laugh when it comes out on dvd.
Jenni Cheung at 06:07 PMstill haven't found a good capturing program. webcamxp sounds cool, but then i'd have to buy it... does anyone just have a copy of it?
oh i got an email asking me how i do my eye makeup... what a great opportunity to do an "episode" like how i used to! i'll do that once i stop being sick.
and i'm sick. i have this crazy eye infection that resulted from wearing my contacts to sleep. i went to the doctor and got these medicated drops for my eyes. they've been super sensitive to light (this was before the drops.) so i couldn't even go to work tuesday because driving was way too dangerous.
being sick sucks.
Jenni Cheung at 01:22 PMjames took me to medieval times! sooo cool! i always used to see that back in illinois on my way to my chicago. cuz this was a surprise, he said we had reservations that we have to make, but he wouldn't tell me where it was at. then we pulled up to the parking lot after hanging out the day and i was like jumping in my seat cuz i've wanted to go to medieval times for the LONGEST time. i got really distracted by the various shiny things at the gift shop. james laughed at me for that. the food was a LOT, but it was not bad at all. it was pretty cool watching that medieval story unfold before me. our knight (blue) won! yay! the fights were a bit choreographed, but hey, what did i expect. overall superduper fun times!
miss saigon was such a beautiful musical. i didn't know it was a tragedy. i cried so much at the end. i miss being in musicals. but during the show i couldn't help but think how this perpetuates the whole whiteguy-asiangirl fetish. i'm all for interracial dating, but i know how some guys have that fetish and that's kinda not cool. i dunno. as romantic as the story was, it still bothered me a bit. the kid was so cute. i cried during the song that kim sang to her son too... like family stuff always moves me a lot.
grades are back from last quarter! although i did horrendous on the finals, i managed to get a 3.0 this quarter, B+, B-, and 2 Bs. kickass!
